How much REM sleep should you actually get each night?
Hi everyone, I’ve recently started paying more attention to my sleep quality instead of just the number of hours I sleep. While reading about sleep cycles, I learned that REM sleep is really important for memory and mental recovery.
Now I’m wondering how much rem sleep should i get each night to actually feel rested. Some articles say around 20–25% of total sleep, but I’m not sure how accurate that is for most people.
Has anyone here tried tracking their REM sleep using a sleep tracker or wearable device? Did it help you understand your sleep patterns better? I’d love to hear what worked for you.
